What happens if a patient needs admission?
After examination, the duty doctor decides whether admission is required. Admission papers and consent are completed, investigations are carried out in-house, nursing staff monitor vital signs and administer prescribed medicines, and you leave with a discharge summary, reports and a follow-up plan.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Previous prescriptions, test reports, X-rays or discharge papers, and a list of medicines currently being taken — including anything bought without a prescription. For diabetes or blood pressure patients, home readings are useful. For an admission, please bring photo ID.
